Shadedstar yawned tiredly and awoke to a bright flame of yellows and oranges glowing and burning her flank. Her wide optics opened, her pupils slanted due to overload of brightness and she lifted herself to her huge paws. Yawning, she stepped out of her den and drew her rough tongue along her black and pink spotted paw pad, running it along her long, crinkled whiskers. Afterwards, she padded to a puddle of water.
She then bent down and lapped up it's water, almost draining it straight from the ground. She chuckled slightly, looking at the puddle and thought it looked like Riverclan in a drought. Walking back to her den, she wiped the water from her facial fur, water dripping from her chin.
Shadedstar curled back up in her den and closed her eyes with a purr that later emerged into a slight snore.
